Terms of Service
These terms are for FlowState Reasoning. They are not the terms for FlowState Logic (those stay at /terms.html).
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Reasoning is a practice product for people who can often follow code and still freeze when they have to decide what to write next. It includes a diagnostic, a reasoning profile, recommended practice, and optional Pro access.
We may change, pause, or discontinue features. Curriculum and recommendations are practice tools, not a degree, job guarantee, or professional certification.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older. You must be able to form a contract. You are responsible for the email account you use to sign in and for activity on your session.
3. Accounts
Sign-in is a one-time code emailed to you. Keep that inbox under your control. We may refuse, suspend, or end an account that these terms do not allow, or that we reasonably believe is abusive, fraudulent, or a risk to other learners or to the service.
4. Acceptable use
Do not: break the law; harass anyone; attack or overload the service; probe other people's accounts; bypass payment or rate limits; scrape the curriculum to republish it; or use the sandbox to target systems outside the exercise.
Feedback you send may be used to operate and improve the product.
5. Your practice work
You keep whatever rights you have in code and answers you submit. You give Cinderway Interactive a non-exclusive license to store and use them to run the service (grading, traces, mastery, support, abuse review). We do not sell your solutions as a standalone product.
The lessons, scenarios, software, and branding are ours (or our licensors'). You do not get a right to copy the curriculum out of the product.
6. Paid plans
Prices, founding vs standard amounts, and the founding window are shown at checkout and in the product. They are configuration, not a forever price frozen in these terms.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. Subscriptions renew at the end of the period at the then-current price unless you cancel through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at period end; you keep Pro until then. Uninstalling or closing the tab does not cancel.
Refunds. Email [email protected]. We may refund at our discretion where Stripe and the law allow. Chargebacks for a period you already used may get the account suspended.
Founders Pack and similar grants are promotional. They do not change mastery rules. Cosmetic items have no cash value outside the service.
7. Availability and sandbox
We aim for the service to be up, and we do not promise uninterrupted access. Practice code runs in a limited sandbox. Do not rely on it for production work.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the diagnostic is complete, that recommendations are optimal, or that using Reasoning will get you a job.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our total liability for a claim is the amount you paid us for Reasoning in the 12 months before the claim, or US $10, whichever is greater.
Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, they apply only as far as permitted.
10. Ending the account
Email [email protected] to close your account. We will delete the learning record we control, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may keep billing records we are required to keep.
We may suspend or terminate for a serious or repeated breach. We will try to give notice when that is reasonable and will not put the service or other people at risk.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. For a material change we will post the new version and, when we can, notify signed-in users. Continued use after that is acceptance, except where the law says otherwise.
12. Law
Florida law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Sarasota County, Florida, have exclusive venue, except that you may have extra rights in your home country that these terms cannot take away.
