After Scratch · Before Python · Ages 11+

FlowState Logic.

Scratch already had you repeating steps and making decisions - you just never had to call it that. Then Python shows up and buries all of it under colons, indentation, and quote marks. FlowState Logic is the step in between: you work out the logic first in a game world, and the real Python shows up at the end, already making sense. 10 chapters, 49 lessons, free to learn.

Finished Scratch? Here's the gap.

Scratch already taught you sequence, repetition, and branching - you just didn't call it that. Your logic isn't the problem. What comes next is. We wrote up the whole thing, including the options that aren't ours: What comes after Scratch?

The wall most learners hit

Everyone says "just learn Python now." But your first Python lesson spends all its energy on syntax: where the colon goes, why the indentation matters, why the quotes have to match. The logic you already had gets buried under typing errors, and it's easy to walk away thinking you're just bad at coding. You're not.

What we do instead

Every lesson starts with a situation, not a code block. You work out what should happen, watch it play out, and only then does the same idea show up in plain English and finally as real Python. By the time syntax arrives, it's just a translation of something you already solved - a much smaller thing to learn.

Who it suits

You're roughly 11 or older, and you'd rather read than watch a video. Maybe you're homeschooled, in middle or high school, or an adult who bounced off Python once and figured the problem was you. It runs right in the browser - Chromebook, laptop, whatever you've got - so there's nothing to install.

What it is not

It's not a full Python course, and it's not trying to be. It covers the fundamentals through lists, dictionaries and strings, and it's meant to make the real Python course you take next feel readable instead of foreign. Learning is free - the only thing you can ever spend money on is dressing up your buddy.
